Steve Brooks is a contributing writer for the San Quentin News. He is a member of the San Quentin Thousand mile running club and a student at the Prison University Project. Since March all programs have been suspended at San Quentin due to the coronavirus pandemic.

When future generations look back on the devastation caused by this coronavirus pandemic, they are likely going to say that what happened to incarcerated populations in America’s prisons is tantamount to crimes against humanity.
